It’s been a very busy summer

The last concert for Trio Disquiet went out with a bang as we premiered my new piece Susie Asado, set for Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Baritone, Piano, and Toy piano. From there we did a selection of Ives songs, an opera scene, John Cage’s Aria and Suite for Toy Piano, and finished with a selection of Gershwin songs. It was an eclectic but extremely fun concert, and I am so fortunate to be performing with such talented singers. Our next concert will be August 4th in Michigan! As the group comes to its regular season I will post more updates on that.

Ursa ensemble will be performing again soon with a cute “Christmas in July” concert on July 19th! We will be performing the Nutcracker suite by Tchaikovsky as well as the Corelli Christmas Concerto. It will be a very enjoyable concert with fresh baked cookies to enjoy afterwards! Afterwards we will be getting ready for our regular season, which will include a variety of intense chamber works and fantastic collaborations!

Finally I have received the recording for my piece Petite Counterpoint and should have the recording up on my sound cloud fairly soon! Attached to this post is the group that performed my piece at the festival, and I am forever thankful for their hard work =)
