Ursa is on the last day of its hibernation and it has just been a great weekend. Probably one of the most taxing ones as well since we have been learning 3 new pieces including 2 commissions from composers Joe Clark and Pierce Gradone, and my own piece Petite Counterpoint! Everything has been coming together and we are prepping well for our first concert of these pieces on February 15.
I’ve never been so excited to have my piece played by these guys before. They’re just ridiculously good. That’s all I have to say. The fact that I’m a part of Ursa is still mind-blowing for me and I’m so honored to play next to such great people. Along with that the pieces we are playing by Pierce and Joe are just fantastic.
