I just updated the events page and there is quite a bit coming on the weekend of Sept. 18!
Ursa is performing two concerts on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The afternoon concert will also be featuring a collaboration with writer Michael San Gabino. The evening concert is a program chalk full of exciting music!
The day after I will be presenting a solo project of new music and conversation with some composer friends of mine. I am very excited to present these new works and talk with them about their craft. It will be a lot of fun! Check the events page to see the names of the composers I will be presenting. This concert will be at 5 p.m.
In other news I recently had a proposal accepted to write a piece for solo bass for the upcoming Open House Chicago Festival, which is presented by the Chicago Architecture Foundation. I am so excited to have been selected for this project, and will be presenting the work in mid October at the Nichols Tower.
