Update post on my current projects, whereabouts!
The past few months have been very busy as the world begins to open up and I’m starting to book shows again! I’ll be playing later this month at Andy’s Antiques and Oddities on the 23rd at 6:30 which I’m super excited about.
Along with that I will also be playing at Thirsty Ears Classical Music Fest this year with Kyle Flens on August 14 at 7 pm.
Other upcoming projects are involved with the upcoming Ear Taxi festival which will include my orchestral piece A River is Found on the Other End in collaboration with the Chicago Composers Orchestra and artist Yoonshin Park. Soprano and composer Liza Sobel and I will be performing at Constellation, George Crumb’s Apparition along with other works by Chicago composers. Finally I will be performing an improvised set with Trombonist Riley Leitch and Oboist Laura Adkins.
Composition projects involve writing for a film (details forthcoming). I recently was involved with the ACM Sonic Walking Tour where you can take a tour through local Chicago neighborhoods Wicker Park and Lakeview and listen to music written for the architectural sites by Chicago composers! I wrote for Schuba’s in Lakeview and the Flat Iron Arts Building in Wicker Park. Check it out on the Gesso app.
Finally I am in the process of booking for an album release party concert which will be a celebration of my upcoming first solo piano album Pieces I Wrote on a Cold Winter Night. I am THRILLED with how the project is coming about and am so thankful for all the work Atlas Arts Media and SCRIPTS records has put into it already. Keep your eyes peeled this album will likely drop in early November! Thank you again to the DCASE grants for helping fund this project.
More coming soon!
