Description
His debut solo piano album, Pieces I Wrote on a Cold Winter Night, is a deeply personal reflection on his ever-evolving relationship with music. Written while in residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, the album is Jonathan’s first honest foray into the repetitive and reflective nature of minimalism. He dives into a world of complex textures, winding melodies, and repetitive ostinatos that ebb and flow to reflect the untamed season of winter. Each title evokes specific images of that season’s breathtaking stillness, stark beauty, and, at times, tumultuous realities.
The Chapel, is the eighth piece from the album.
